The breadth and depth of Neil's experience is built on more than three decades running large global corporate functions and businesses at the most senior levels of De Beers and Anglo American — spanning the full value chain from upstream supply, through midstream trading and auctioning, to jewellery retail. Most careers in this industry ascend through one of these verticals; Neil's experience runs horizontally across all three. Rising to the Executive Committee as one of its youngest-ever members, he led three initiatives that reshaped the industry: Tracr, one of the first digital trust infrastructure initiatives for natural resources proven at production scale; Lightbox, De Beers's move into laboratory-grown diamonds; and GemFair, connecting artisanal mining to verified global supply chains.
Today, the centrepiece of his work is with the DMCC — a major driver of Dubai's economy and an integrated platform bringing together over 26,000 companies across commodities trading, energy, technology, trade finance, and private capital. Neil also serves as Board Member of the Dubai Diamond Exchange, the world's largest diamond exchange.
As Venture Partner at Cloudberry Ventures he has active deal flow, board-level access, and operational intelligence across deep tech infrastructure: next-generation compute, industrial systems, and financial infrastructure including blockchain, tokenisation, and digital assets. As Advisory Board member at HydGen, he has exposure to industrial green hydrogen and supply chain decarbonisation.
He also founded Ventura Fine Jewellery— worn on the red carpet, nominated for Bespoke Jeweller of the Year, and trusted by an international private clientele including well-known personalities — where he sources exceptional natural diamonds and rare gemstones for bespoke creation and for physical asset portfolios.
